Professional statement

I am an Accredited Member of the BACP and work within their ethical framework. As part of this framework, anything that we talk about is confidential, even if you are aged under 16. However, there are a small number of broadly-accepted exceptions which we will discuss at your first meeting.

COVID Guidelines

Currently I am doing a lot of my work online

I work to strict guidelines to protect both my clients and myself from COVID risks.

Where do I work?

I have a face-to-face appointments in my Garden Office, close to Guildford (GU3 post-code)

I have limited face-to-face appointments on Saturday mornings in Godalming (GU7 post-code)

What are my qualifications?

  • Foundation Degree in Counselling University of Greenwich (Commended)

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People (Masters level) University of Wales

  • Certificate in Online Therapy (80 hours CPD)

  • Accredited Member BACP

  • ACTO level 1 member

What experience do I have?

I have worked in primary and secondary schools and colleges with a wide range of ages and abilities, including young people with physical and learning difficulties.

I have also worked in an agency with adults of all ages with a wide range of issues.

What sessions do I offer?

  • I offer telephone or video counselling at the following times 

Mon, Thurs, Fri 10-5pm

Tues 10.30-1.30pm 5-9pm

Wed 12-9pm

Sat 9-1pm

  • I offer one-to-one counselling.

  • I offer short-term (typically 6-10 sessions) or longer-term counselling.

  • I offer a reduced rate 30 minute taster session, or we can start with a 50 minute paid session- whichever you prefer.

 

How long do the sessions last?

Sessions last 50 minutes.

I would normally see you on the same day , at the same time every week.

I usually have a little flexibility if, for example, you work shifts.
